How & Why I Started Reviewing New Products

Lets talk about why and how I started doing product reviews and how you can do it to. I happen to be handicapped and disabled so I get benefits from the state. Enough to cover the bills but not much else. My son who's a 17 year old is always asking for something that I could not afford.

So, one day I decided to search Google for jobs that didn't require a college diploma and ran remotely. The very first thing that popped up was "UpWork". This online job platform seemed like a good start since you didn't need experience and the jobs were endless. Freelancing is what it was called.

I downloaded the app and started searching the jobs listed. One of the jobs header was "free product for review". I thought to myself, "I can write a review" and went ahead and applied for it. The next day I get an email saying that I had gotten the job. I was ecstatic with the promise of getting a free product. I messaged with the client and found that not only do I get a free product, I also get paid $10, not much but it counted.

My very first product review was on, you'd never guess this in a million years, an adult toy! Yes, I was going to have the pleasure of reviewing a really pink "Dildo". Days later I receive the product and went about writing a review on Amazon. My first review was a hit. Client was satisfied and so was I, "wink wink".

After that, the review jobs starting pouring in. I would receive about two to three products weekly. In the very first month I had made over $300 and 30 free products. I was flabbergasted at the realization of how much I could really make doing what I loved to do anyway, writing has always been a passion of mine.

Unfortunately, after a few months of this UpWork kicked me off of their platform for accepting jobs that paid for five star reviews, which at the time I had no clue that it was wrong to do this. I now follow rules and only write honest feedback for all the products that I receive and I no longer accept money for reviews. Now if the client decides to give me a bonus then that's a different story.

I now do reviews for TesterZ.io and Tomoson Reviews. I also have several different social media sites and this blog under my belt. I post my reviews on all of them and hope to someday have my own advertisement agency.

I'm still a beginner influencer and haven't gotten many followers, But I know it's the start of a new life for me and my son. We are now able to afford a bigger home and the luxury of having many different products to enjoy. Writing reviews may not be for everybody but for me, it's a blessing.

You can be a reviewer as well. If I can do it, anyone can. Start off knowing that you won't be making much money at first but if you put in the work, you can make it happen. Start off like me, with a simple Google search for review sites. That will lead you where you need to go.
